Mika joined Brann in 2016 and has a solid experience within IP after working at another IP law firm and before that as an examiner at the Swedish Patent Office. She works mainly with patents but is active within the whole field of intellectual property.

Her main area of expertise is computer-implemented inventions and signal processing, but she also has experience in patenting medical technology inventions and mechanics. She works with large Swedish and International companies as well as with start-ups on their way to their first product launch.

Mika’s primary focus is the business benefits of her clients. By knowing her clients’ goals, competitive advantages, challenges and needs she is able to give the best possible advice in each individual case. One of the things Mika appreciates most about her work is to, together with her clients, create a tailor fitted IP strategy that will help them reach their commercial goals. Mika also assists clients handling challenges that companies may face in view of business development, technology development or entering new markets.

In her spare time, Mika enjoys spending time with her family and friends, as well as doing somersaults and handstands as a coach for a children’s gymnastics group.
