Astrid Johnsson

Astrid started at Brann in 1989 and two years later she became partner. Before Brann she worked as clerk with the district court of Linköping and thereafter at the Patent Section of the Swedish Armed Forces. She enjoys a strong reputation for the breadth of her experience managing international trademark portfolios, and for her stellar handling of contentious matters.

Astrid has been involved in name creations, providing availability searches, assisting in trademark registrations, advice and guidance. She handles oppositions and administrative cancellations with the Swedish Patent and Registration Office, the Swedish Companies Registration Office as well as cases with the Patent and Market Court. Astrid advices in questions relating to infringement, contentious matters and agreements. She also acts as attorney in alternative dispute resolutions related to domains.

Astrid is a force of nature when it comes to advicing on securing protection for trademarks. With a firm hand and a genuine smile, no matter seems too big and we are proud of the fact that she chooses to spend her working hours with us at Brann.

When she is not working she enjoys spending time with family and friends. Most preferably outdoors, in the ski piste, on the trail or at the beach.
