Kristine Nilsson Wieslander

Kristine started working at Brann in 2020. She is a litigation lawyer and has extensive experience of legal proceedings from courts, law firms, her own legal firm and as a regional lawyer at a University Hospital.

Kristine acts as attorney in intellectual property disputes, primarily in trademark law, patents and copyright, as well as in review processes of public procurement. She assists her clients with all types of intellectual property advice, contract writing, regulatory advice in life science and for academia. She works i.a. with expertise regarding the “teacher exemption”, the law on employees’ right to inventions, trade secrets, supplementary protection for medicines, ethics legislation, R&D agreements and regulations for clinical trials.

In her role as a trademark attorney Kristine handles trademark portfolios and correspondence with the Swedish Intellectual Property Office (PRV) and/or EUIPO or other national patent offices.. She also handles trademark disputes before the Patent and Market Court.
Kristine also offers ministration regarding procurement legislation, mainly with review processes and appeals of confidentiality decisions. Kristine assists with advice on e.g. procurement procedures, suspension of procurements, direct procurements, invalidity action and confidentiality assessments.

Kristine is the business lawyer who offers a full legal service regarding companies’ intellectual property rights, commercial agreements, regulatory issues in life science, and public procurement. Kristine is passionate about the development of small and medium-sized companies in the business world, where personal, close and local legal advice can be the key to your business success.

While not in the office she enjoys spending time with her family in French mountain villages in Provence. She is also very keen on padel, tennis and golf.
