Ida Christensen joined Brann as a patent attorney in 2008. Before that she was very appreciated as patent examiner and as responsible for the training and examination of all Swedish patent examiners at the Swedish Patent Office.
Ida works mainly with clients within the fields of biotechnology and medical technology, such as fermentation technology, protein purification, microbiology, functional food (probiotics), enzymology, in vitro diagnostics, analytical assays, and medical devices. She drafts and prosecutes patent applications, performs patentability studies and freedom-to-operate evaluations, and advises in patent strategies, oppositions, infringement and validity.
To maximize the commercial value of her clients’ IP rights, Ida works in close collaboration with her clients. She is very appreciated due to her solid knowledge and her good insights in her clients’ businesses. Ida also gives commissioned lectures about patent law and patent practice and values pedagogics and good communication in every aspect of her working life.
While not securing patents, she sings in an indie-pop choir and hangs out with her family, preferably outdoors hiking or playing a board game.
