Ida Christensen joined Brann as a patent attorney in 2008. Earlier, she worked at the Swedish Patent Office as a patent examiner from 2001 to 2008 and in parallel was responsible for the training and examination of all patent examiners from 2006 to 2008. Ida works in close collaboration with her clients to maximize the commercial value of their IP rights. She drafts and prosecutes patent applications in the fields of e.g. biotechnology and medical technology, such as fermentation technology, protein purification, microbiology, functional food (probiotics), enzymology, in vitro diagnostics, analytical assays, and medical devices. She performs patentability studies and freedom-to-operate evaluations, and advises in patent strategies, oppositions, infringement and validity. Ida also gives commissioned lectures on patent law and patent practice, e.g. at master programs at Uppsala University. Ida speaks English and understands German, French and Danish.
